What started over a year ago as an effort to improve our Arah p4 split times in dungeon tours turned into our most difficult record yet. Not only were the strats difficult to successfully execute at all, getting close to an optimal time is practically impossible; a human can only realistically goat up the tree so fast after all. I'd go as far as to say that this path has highest potential limit out of any gw2 record ever, so if gw2 TAS'ing ever becomes a thing in the future I'd like to see what's truly possible here.

When we initially planned this record, EOD had yet to drop so we were using our standard double Guard/Soulbeast comp and we got a 6:37. Not quite satisfied with the time, we planned to go again and improve it some more. Unfortunately, as life goes on and we get older we find ourselves with less time to game, and even less time when all of our schedules line up, so the project got shelved for quite a while.

With the addition of Bladesworn, which is uniquely powerful in this path, and the discovery of a new goating route to Grenth, we realized just how much further the time could be pushed which motivated us to give it another shot. For nearly the past two months, we've been grinding away at this and finally reached our goal time of sub 5:30 with just about 12 hours before the balance patch which would have nerfed the quickness/superspeed rotations for the engi and warrior skip segments.

Sadly, my PoV is far from pretty to look at. Lots of micro cringes up to the tree, and while I saved the run by doing a sick wall jump after I failed the choya at the seam walk, it cost me a lot of time; furthermore, the accidental heal activation cost me even more time after the third jump choya. This lead to me being unable to assist in killing the last tower, which delayed the spawn of the teleporting wraith by a bit.

With that said, overall I'm very pleased with this record. I find it very satisfying that nobody in this run is a simple "DPS bot" just getting ferried around and doing the same burst rotation; everyone had their own unique responsibilities and everyone executed.
