In the documentary, members of the Makongeni village community, share their experiences in their own words, while sharing information about culture, tradition and history - the significant factors that influence community development and the spiral of change.

The documentary is produced by Home Street Home, a non-profit organisation that runs projects in the fields of education, well-being and health for children and young people in Kenya. Home Street Home's community centre is located in the village of Makongeni in Kwale County. The organisation is registered in Kenya, Finland and Switzerland.
