From the charming village of Dovje, we climbed through diverse terrain—forest paths, rocky ridges, and thrilling exposed sections—all the way to the summit. The effort is absolutely worth it for the breathtaking views across Slovenia and Austria.

Kepa is not the most well-known peak, but that is exactly what makes it special. Along this trail, you’ll often meet almost no other hikers, giving you a rare sense of solitude, unspoiled nature, and freedom. From the top, you can admire the entire Julian Alps skyline, with the most iconic summits in view: Triglav, Rjavina, Stenar, Dolkova Špica, Škrlatica, Jalovec, Mangart and many more.
