Zakat and Charity


All praise is due to Allah, the Lord of all worlds, and peace and blessings be upon our beloved Prophet Muhammad ﷺ.

Respected brothers and sisters,

Zakat and charity hold a very high status in Islam.

They are not only acts of kindness but also essential pillars that strengthen the Islamic society and purify the believer’s soul.

Allah commands in the Qur’an:
“Establish prayer and give Zakat.”

This command shows that Zakat is closely connected with Salah, which highlights its great importance.

Zakat purifies our wealth and removes greed from our hearts.

Zakat is not charity — it is a right of the poor in our wealth.

Give with sincerity, and Allah will give you beyond imagination.

Charity purifies your wealth and multiplies your blessings.

A small act of giving can create a lifetime of happiness for someone.

The best investment is the one you send to the Hereafter.

Give today, and let your kindness speak for you tomorrow.

Helping the needy is the true beauty of faith.

Your charity can be someone’s hope.

زکوٰۃ صرف صدقہ نہیں بلکہ غریبوں کا حق ہے۔
اللہ کی راہ میں دیا گیا مال کئی گنا بڑھ کر واپس آتا ہے۔
صدقہ مال کو پاک اور دل کو روشن کرتا ہے۔
آپ کی معمولی مدد کسی کے لیے زندگی بدل سکتی ہے۔
سب سے بہترین سرمایہ وہ ہے جو آخرت کے لیے جمع کیا جائے۔
زکوٰۃ ایمان اور رحم دلی کا عملی ثبوت ہے

It reminds us that everything we possess is a trust from Allah.

Allah also says that whatever we spend in His way, He replaces it with something better.

This teaches us that charity never decreases wealth; rather, it brings barakah and blessings into our lives.

The teachings of Hadith also emphasize the virtue of charity.

The Prophet ﷺ said, as recorded in Sahih al-Bukhari:
“Charity does not decrease wealth.”

This beautiful Hadith teaches us that when a person gives sincerely for the sake of Allah,

Allah increases his blessings and protects him from difficulties.

Dear brothers and sisters,

Zakat helps the poor,
supports the needy, and removes hardship from society.

It creates love, unity, and compassion among Muslims.

Through charity, we share the blessings Allah has given us and fulfill the rights of others.

Therefore, we should give Zakat sincerely, help the needy generously, and remember that every act of charity brings us closer to Allah and earns us great reward in the Hereafter.

May Allah make us among those who give generously and sincerely.
