Using historic maps, landscape analysis, industrial archaeology, and local testimony, we follow the surviving alignment of this Victorian narrow gauge tramway to the point where it disappears. Did the tunnel begin high on the hillside? Was it later filled in during the 1970s? And could the opposite portal still lie buried beneath private land?
