🎥 A-Skips – Running ABC Drill for Runners
If you want to run with better form, rhythm, and power, A-Skips are a must. They’re one of the classic Running ABC drills — teaching you proper knee drive, posture, and coordination while building strength and elasticity in your stride.
✅ Improves knee drive + hip flexor strength
✅ Trains running rhythm + coordination
✅ Builds ankle stiffness + elastic return for faster strides
✅ Reinforces tall posture + arm drive mechanics
How to do it:
Stand tall with good posture.
Drive one knee up to ~90° while keeping your ankle dorsiflexed (toes up).
Hop lightly on the opposite leg, landing on the ball of your foot.
Alternate legs in a rhythmic skipping pattern.
Arms swing naturally, opposite to the legs.
Perform 2–3 sets of 20–30 meters.
👉 Use A-Skips as part of your warm-up before runs, speed sessions, or races to sharpen mechanics and reinforce efficient running technique.
