The Western Cape High Court has ruled in favour of 17 schools who were fighting
closure by the Provincial Education Department.
The department had planned to close the schools last year, citing dwindling numbers,
amongst other reasons. The schools, however, had been granted a temporary reprieve by the court to stay open pending a review process.
