On this episode I continue with the ongoing restoration of this 1979 Kenworth W900A truck to turn it into a tribute movie truck to the one used in the 1977 classic movie Smokey and the Bandit with Burt Reynolds, Jerry Reed and Jackie Gleason. If you haven’t seen it yet, what are you waiting for??? “Hold up in that carwash gentlemen”

On this episode I continue where I left off last week by getting this truck ready to start after almost a year. First up on the Roadkill list is to address the battery and series parallel switch replacement. After installing a new switch from Kenworth, I figured this would be a walk in the park, however, the new switch appeared to be defective and UI ended up spending half the day robbing parts off the old one to make it functional. After that I went and bought 20 gallons of diesel to get it to go. After some nudging, the old KW finally lit off for the 1st time since I started the restoration. Then Mrs. TwinSticks wanted to go out on a Saturday night date so I convinced her it would be a good idea to take the Peterbilt into town. What a treat taking out my hot wife in a minty old Pete!
