Champions let's talk about the most simplified most easiest way to turn on the forehand many players overthink about their take back on the forehand and are just unsure of how to turn on the forehand. And the overthinking ends up hurting their forehand more than anything else. First thing you want to do is understand that you cannot turn with your arm only. If you turn with your arm only you will definitely lose power you will lose accuracy. Second thing you want to do is don't overthink where your elbow should be on the turn. All you want to make sure is that its not too close to your body. Make sure there is space between you and your elbow and the elbow is far enough away from you. Lastly, you dont want to overturn on the forehand. If you do overturn on the forehand. You're losing out on accuracy you're going to end up hitting around the ball snd have no timing. So make sure you turn on the same side of the body and don't cross the line at the back of your body. Enjoy your new forehand turn.
Alright guys, I'm going to take you through two ways to generate more power on your forehand. Firstly, if you're not getting enough power on your forehand, you're probably not using your outside leg enough or you're playing closed stance too much. Must remember if you get your outside leg low and you sit down on the ground before you hit it, and then explode into the ball, you're going to get so much more power, your legs are the strongest part of your body. So if you drop down into your outside leg before you start accelerating you're going to get so much more power. Secondly, your hand needs to become one with your racket. Your arm needs to be loose and you need to pretend like you're hitting the ball with a french fry or you're hitting the ball with a rope. That way your racket is all the way loose, like Rafael Nadal. You'll see that when he hits his forehead, his arm sometimes wraps around his whole body. So wrap your racket around your body like it's a rope. The looser your arm is, the better. These two tips will definitely give you more power on your Forehand and be sure to watch the next video to go in depth on how to get more power.
Okay champions taking you through the forehand and how to generate more power on your forehand. I'm giving you three tips. Today technical tips to help you generate more power on your forehand by changing one or two small things on your technique. The first thing you want to realize is if your racket and arm is too close to your body, you're going to end up losing out on a lot of power. If you look at all the professional tennis players, you will see that the racket is far away from them. They make space between themselves and the ball. And that way, it's a lot easier to get power so push your racket further away. Secondly, you want to generate elastic energy. And you need to think of yourself as an elastic band and the more you wind up, the more it's gonna wind down and give you momentum and power into the ball. So turn your shoulders which in turn will then turn your hips and then drop down into the legs and then have that elastic energy explode into the ball. And then lastly, when you have everything in place, make sure that you follow through. Many players have a nice turn they have the racket far away from them. But then as they swing they stop to swing so they lose out on all the elastic energy and momentum. Make sure once everything is in place that you finish the shot all the way through. So you don't lose out on the power that you can get by having a good long follow through.
