After retiring from a busy, demanding career as a RN, and after my 5 children are grown and have their own careers and children, I realize that retirement is an ongoing journey of changes and adjustments. I will share some of my experiences and welcome others to share what makes their golden years of retirement enjoyable and fulfilling.
I hope you try this way of “putting up” (preparing for the freezer) my fresh picked corn. It is easy, not too messy, and the corn tastes like fresh picked when eaten in the winter. I got 6 ears, and have 6 bags in the freezer.
Next, we’ll sew a super quick “gripper”. So helpful for everyone with decreased strength in their hands. It makes a much appreciated happy to go along with your home canned goods.
I’ll share my lunch today, using a previously baked roll for my hamburger, and the cream cheese pound cake baked yesterday. A very frugal way to prepare and use our food to stretch our food dollars and eat well.
We are having another rainy day with thunder in the area, so Maizie is hiding in my closet.
