NINH BINH - Stay at the Lalita Boutique Hotel. Boat ride through Trang An and Tam Coc and Jeep Ride

Описание: We sneaked in a short stay in Ninh Binh before we head to Halong Bay for a new and different Vietnam experience.

Ninh Binh is a interior extension of Halong Bay. Imaging the limestone and Granite formations but without the water. We stay at the Lalita Boutique Hotel. No Hiltons or Hyatt's in this neck of the woods and although it is a little further out it is a short and cheap Grab ride to Tam Coc and the famous boat rides.

Although we only had a short time here we managed to get a lot in. We firstly went to Trang An and took a boat ride around the rock formations. The area is flooded so all of the caves and regular routes were closed. But it is truly spectacular. It opens at 6am, but check in with the hotel. We got there at 7.30 and the crowds were building up already and so was the heat.

Next we go Tam Coc. This is more touristy, more instagramable and don't forget to tip your guide. And yes, here they row the boats with their feet!

This is the place you launch your drone to see the boats snake through the paddy fields and it is truly worth the trip.

We then head off for a jeep tour of the area. They said US jeeps but as the US were in the South we found out they were Russian. ITs an interesting tour and good fun.

We even had time to get some laundry done and Helen got her nails done.
