Описание: We are checked in at the Avani + in Luang Prabang after traveling on our Mekong River Cruise and are ready to explore.

We have 7 days at the Avani+ and take the opportunity to explore a new Country that has so much to offer. As Luang Prabang is a World Heritage site much of the buildings just outside the hotel are protected and this is somewhere thats easy to walk around. There is a night market steps from the hotel and the Royal Palace and many of the sites are convenient to get to.

We took a trip with our guide Tay to go to the Kuang Si Waterfall and Bear Sanctuary and stop a Water Buffalo farm which needed a further look. The next day we did a tour and got the opportunity to feed, clean and milk a Water Buffalo as well as pet some pigs and rabbit. A bargain at $16 for a guided tour, and they give you Buffalo Ice Cream as well as a coffee and a cake, what a bargain.

We go to the UXO museum to see the munitions dropped on the mist bombed country in the world and 50 years on what has changed.

We also get to sail the Mekong on a Sunset Cruise. If you are in this area Luang Prabang is an affordable little gem in South East Asia.
