This full-body mobility routine is designed for individuals with spinal fusion (post-op more than 1 year) to help maintain flexibility and movement in non-fused areas of the body. These are the perfect exercises for scoliosis, osteoporosis, kyphosis and after spinal fusion.
Led by Physio Andrea, a Schroth-certified physiotherapist and founder of The ScoliClinic in Vancouver, Canada, this routine focuses on keeping the shoulders, hips, and other key joints mobile, as they play a crucial role in daily movements when spinal motion is limited.
While spinal fusion reduces flexibility in the spine, it doesn’t mean an active life isn’t possible! Many people with spinal fusions participate in sports, weightlifting, and everyday activities—as long as the rest of the body stays strong and mobile.
Important: If you've had a fusion within the last year, please check with your surgeon or physiotherapist before attempting this routine, as movement restrictions can vary.
