Kopernik Friday Night Livestream: Winter Skies
Presented by Kopernik Staff
Date/Time: Friday, January 23th @ 7:00PM EST
Learn how to identify constellations and planets in the winter sky, and how to spot the International Space Station. If you have your own telescope, bring it with you and a Kopernik Astronomical Society member will help you learn how to assemble it and use it. Although it is cold, winter is one of the best times to view planets and stars, so head up to Kopernik, away from the city lights!
We are excited to offer this program both online and in-person. For those that can visit us on-site, doors open at 6:30pm and the program begins at 7:00pm. If the skies are clear, our domes will be open for you to view the night skies through Kopernik’s telescopes both before and after the program. Target objects will be a waxing gibbous Moon, Jupiter, & the Orion Nebula.
