V/Line Wyndham Vale to Deer Park Journey (Regional Rail Link)

Описание: As part of the Regional Rail Link project, a 47.5km train line for V/Line services to Geelong and beyond was constructed and opened in 2015, eliminating the need regional train services to travel via the suburban Werribee Line. However, this created a practically new "suburban" rail route through Melbourne's western suburbs with several new stations. Service frequencies on this section of the line are as high as typical suburban lines and commuters use it like a regular line, despite being run by the V/Line fleet; certainly quite an oddity!

In this video we travel from Wyndham Vale (the last station in the Melbourne metropolitan area on this line), to Deer Park, which is the junction for the V/Line services towards Melton and Ballarat. This other line and the rest of the line into the city will be explored in the next video.
