This is a video from a 5 day backpacking loop I did around the 3 Sisters (3 volcanoes) in the central part of the Oregon Cascade range. We started/ended at the Obsidian trailhead, and hiked counter clockwise around the sisters. The first part of the trip we had fantastic weather, open meadow views, and great fall colors. Then the weather, and trail conditions, started to change. We had to step over several hundred trees that had blown down across the trail, and we started getting rain and snow the last few days of the trip, causing us to hike out a little early. The scenery was fantastic, very volcanic, lots of beautiful lakes and meadows, several small waterfalls, lots of lava flows, and great solitude on the east side. We saw very few people because it was the fall, and very few animals. In fact we saw more hunters than anything else, since it was hunting season.
