Police: Florida woman deliberately crashes car into West Palm Beach courthouse

Описание: A federal courthouse in downtown West Palm Beach remains boarded up after police say a woman intentionally crashed her car through the building’s front entrance late Wednesday night.

According to the West Palm Beach Police Department, the incident happened around 11:15 p.m. along the 700 block of Clematis Street at the Paul G. Rogers Federal Building and U.S. Courthouse.

Investigators say 55-year-old Lanesa Stubbs deliberately drove her vehicle into the front doors of the courthouse, shattering glass and damaging security equipment and interior furnishings. Police estimate the damage at approximately $200,000.

No injuries were reported.

Despite the presence of planter-style barricades positioned outside the courthouse entrance, police say the vehicle was still able to reach the front doors.
