An acoustic cover of I Am a Rock by Paul Simon - one of the greatest songwriters of all time and certainly one of my favourites.
This version is based on the demo (so, pre Simon & Garfunkel) as I love that version so much. It really captures the essence of the lyrics I feel.
I actually uploaded a version of this to my channel close to 10 years ago but I wanted to re record it as I have better equipment now, and also, this song (and many of the others that are coming in the next few days) really reflect my current state of mind.
I havent uploaded to my channel for a number of months because I have been struggling immensely with my mental health, agoraphobia & depression especially and its lead to me not wanting to do anything except sleep. Now, I want to try and use music to coax my way out of it so here is a cover of one of the greatest songs ever written about solitude.
