Welcome to the 10th class of Beginners Yoga Module A! (link to previous classes below). For those of you who have been following this course, I want to extend an enormous BRAVO for your discipline and commitment. By now you will be feeling so many changes in so many ways. I hope that you'll take some time to tell me about your experiences. This 10th class is an important step in our yogic evolution because, for the first time, we'll be exploring an Inversion called Sarvangasana. It is considered one of the royal poses of Yoga with enormous health benefits (opening of the upper back, and oxygenation of the lungs, heart and brain to name just a few). Sarvangasana will, over time, become an incredible source of freedom but because many of us have tight shoulders, upper backs and necks, it is a pose that takes particular patience and practice before it is entirely comfortable... Don't worry! We take it very slowly. Class by class increasing our evolution. Just be patient. Keep trying, trusting that you will be so grateful in the end. And let me know if you have any particular concerns that arise. I'm here to help.
Recommended Dosage: practice each class at least 3X before moving onto the next. If practiced as suggested I promise that you'll experience beautiful structure, strength and fluidity adding in infinite empowering ways to daily life and living. Made with love and light 🍃 Cat
NOTE - During menstruation please avoid all Core Work as well as all Inversions (Sarvangasana and the final Viparita Karani). One could insert Supta Padangusthasana Cycle in place of Core, Supta Baddka Konasana in place of Sarvangasana and classical Savasana instead of Viparita Karani.
