INGREDIENTS:
• 350g ground ogbono (wild mango seeds)
• Some beef and other proteins like assorted meat (beef, tripe, turkey, even fish, dry fish pawns or goat meat)
• 150mls cup palm oil
• 150g crayfish (blended)
•. 2 tablespoons ogiri
• 2–3 seasoning cubes
• Salt to taste
• 1–2 cups stock (from cooked meat)
• 1 cup chopped spinach, Ugu or bitterleaf
• Fresh or dried fish (optional)
• Pepper (to taste)
PREPARATION:
Cook the Meat: Season your assorted meat with onions, seasoning cubes, salt, and pepper. Cook until tender and set aside with the stock. As well as all your other proteins.
Put 150mls palm oil into your pot, add 350g ground ogbono with palm oil in a very reduced heat until it forms a smooth paste.
Add 600mls of water
Add ground dry peppers, crayfish,bouillon stock, beef stock.
Add all proteins and crayfish, cooked meat, and fish.
Add iru and Ogiri ,
Simmer: Allow the soup to cook on low heat for 10–15 minutes until it thickens and develops its signature draw texture.
Add Vegetables: Add your spinach, Ugu or bitterleaf and simmer for another 3–5 minutes.
Taste & Adjust: Add salt and seasoning if needed.
Serve Hot: Enjoy with your favorite swallow!
