These rolls are perfectly crunchy from outside and deliciously loaded with paneer & veggies inside. A perfect snack for tea time, parties, Ramadan Iftar, or anytime cravings.
Homemade sheets are budget-friendly, easy to make, and can also be frozen for later use.

Ingredients — Paneer Spring Rolls (with Homemade Sheets)
🫓 For Spring Roll Sheets (Wraps)
1 cup (100 g) cornflour or arrowroot
½ cup all-purpose flour (maida) ( 70 g )
1 tablespoon oil
¼ teaspoon salt
About 1⅓ cups water (add gradually to make a thin batter)
Oil — for greasing pan and sheets
Optional (for easier handling): 1 egg white — skip for pure vegetarian version
🥬 For Filling
2 tablespoons oil
2 tablespoons finely chopped ginger-garlic
4 green chilies, finely chopped
1 cup cabbage, shredded
½ cup capsicum (bell pepper), thinly sliced
½ cup carrot, grated or julienned
½ cup onion, sliced
½ cup sweet corn
200 g paneer, small cubes
🌶️ Seasonings & Sauces
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon crushed red chili flakes
½ teaspoon black pepper powder
2 teaspoons soy sauce
1 tablespoon red chili sauce or green chili sauce
1 tablespoon white vinegar
🧀 Optional Add-ins
1 tablespoon all-purpose flour (to keep filling non-sticky)
½ cup mozzarella cheese
1 processed cheese cube, grated
🔒 For Sealing Rolls
2 tablespoons flour + 2–3 tablespoons water (thick paste)
🍳 For Frying
Oil for deep frying
Freezing Tips
✔ Freeze Before Frying (Best Method)
Arrange rolls on tray (not touching)
Freeze 2 hours until firm
Transfer to zip-lock bag
Store up to 1–2 month
👉 Fry directly from frozen (no thawing)
🍗 Chicken Spring Roll Variation
Replace paneer with:
1½ cups shredded cooked chicken
Everything else same ✔
Optional additions:
Boiled noodles
Spring onions
Extra soy sauce
🍳 Deep Fry Method
Heat oil on medium-high
Fry 2–3 minutes until golden & crispy
Do not fry on low heat (absorbs oil)
🌬️ Air Fryer Method (Healthier)
Preheat air fryer to 180°C (350°F)
Brush rolls lightly with oil
Arrange in single layer
Air fry 8–12 minutes, flipping halfway
✔ Extra crisp: Spray oil once during cooking
🧊 After Frying Storage
Refrigerate cooked rolls up to 2 days
Reheat in air fryer or oven (not microwave)
