Thousands of Greek Cypriots attended the funeral at Paralimni
Friday (16/8) of a protester killed two days ago by Turkish troops
inside a UN-controlled buffer zone separating Greek and Turkish
Cypriots. Hundreds of friends and relatives of 26-year-old Solomous Solomou had gathered before the funeral at his family home in Paralimni to pay their final respects to the victim as his body lay in an open
coffin.
