Описание: This is the trailer for a documentary produced by Riggs Australia, called Secrets at Sunrise, which tells the fascinating story of a team of conservation experts and community volunteers working together to save one of the world's rarest birds, the Western Ground Parrot.

We spent 3 years following dedicated scientists and volunteers around remote Cape Arid National Park, the stunning location where the only known population of the critically endangered parrot survives, documenting their efforts to hold off the threats to its existence.

Part of the film chronicles the determined attempts by specialist bird breeding experts at Perth Zoo who are trying to breed the birds in captivity, an extremely difficult and heartbreaking endeavour, fraught with complications.

This species is under extreme pressure due to loss of habitat, predation by feral cats and foxes, and ever increasing bushfires throughout its last remaining habitat - and just when things start to look up..... disaster strikes when 90% of their last known habitat is burnt to the ground.

We made this inspiring and dramatic film to raise awareness of the birds plight, in the hopes of saving it (and other species that are under similar threats) from extinction.
