In today's video, we are showing how to practice reflexes and anticipation for goalkeepers. This is an important drill that can be done to train this important aspect of a goalkeeper training.
This drill which helps develop the goalkeeper's reflexes and anticipation consists in turning around in the goal area and have fellow soccer player shoot the ball at you.
You will be able to anticipate the diving movement by looking at the player's posture just before he makes contact with the ball. The placement of the player's body, will help you anticipate where the ball is about to go.
The reflex part of this soccer drill is trained by having the player randomly shooting the ball in either sides of the net. This will practice your reflexes as a goalkeeper.
This drill is very important and should be practiced as often as you can.
