You've heard all the menopause influencers saying it, "Lift Heavy Sh*t at Menopause". But you're finding it intimidating just to get started.
If this sounds like you, let me share the facts.
The 'lift heavy at menopause' messaging is misleading. Menopausal women can grow strong and build muscle performing a variety of different repetition ranges as long as they lift with purpose and intention.
Research tells us that there is no magical repetition range for muscle growth. When a woman chooses an appropriate weight for her capabilities and lifts with good form, as close to failure as she can, she will grow stronger and build muscle. This is even true for higher repetition ranges like 20-30 repetitions per set.
This is good news for you if you're a beginner. There is no need to start lifting like I am in this video. PHEW.....
