But that’s only part of the story.
Because for many people, the constant searching isn’t really about the diagnosis at all.
It’s about gaslighting, trauma bonding, self-doubt, and the desperate need for validation after being emotionally eroded. It’s about wanting permission to leave. It’s about hoping there’s still a version of them that can change.

I also explain why your brain won’t let this go — why you keep watching one video after another even when the patterns are already clear — and the psychological reasons this “information loop” happens after narcissistic abuse.
You don’t need a clinical label to justify your pain.
And you don’t need a diagnosis to recognize damage.
At some point, understanding them stops helping — and focusing on you becomes the real work.
