Precautions
Avoid if you have neck, back, or shoulder injuries
Do not practice with recent surgery (especially spine, abdomen, heart)
People with high blood pressure, glaucoma, or migraines should practice gently and consult a professional
Pregnant women should practice with guidance and proper support
Avoid forcing the lift — engage glutes and core, not just the lower back
Keep neck neutral; do not turn the head while in the pose
Knees should stay hip-width and not flare outward
Use props (block, bolster, cushion) if needed for support
Always warm up first
Come out of the pose slowly to avoid strain
