This is part two of a session recorded in April ’24 (the first part being our version of The Cure’s “A Night Like This”).
“Winning” is the opener of the album From the Lion’s Mouth by British band The Sound, released in 1981.
Formed in ‘79, The Sound never got rid of their underdog image, and although hailed as one of Britain’s finest post-punk outfits by those in the know, they dissolved in ‘88. For more information, please ask the internet.
As is our modus operandi, we took some liberties with this song. Nothing too serious, just enough to set up a different vibe. Same crew as in the last video: Dennis on vocals, The Captain on drums, Christoph on bass, Flo on keys, Micha on guitar, Mirko and Heidi behind the camera and Rainer was in charge of cutting and editing. And, of course, mixed and mastered by Cpt. Peters at The Blue Hospital.
