I can’t deny it; at least three people in the room during this recording are massive Cure fans. So, approaching a song that has possibly a very high “Holy Cow” factor (we talked about it, didn’t we) is always exciting but also has potential for heightened emotional responses 😃. It’s ok, it didn’t happen. Oh, it did happen, but not in a bad way. It was pure joy!
Even though this is an interpretation of an existing song, infusing it with different flavours is always part of the fun. Some of you might catch a whiff of (artist’s name here) aroma, others may hear (you tell me), and even a bit of cosmic background radiation is possible (well, it's there, definitely).

Where were we? Ah, yes!
Dennis plays the fiddle, while me and Flo are pogo-sticking about in the barn…., sorry, erm, different video, different channel (I’m joking, of course, but - who knows😃).
A Night Like This was recorded in August 1985 as part of The Cure’s “The Head on the Door” album. Our version dates back to early April this year (2024).
You’ll hear (and see) Dennis on vocals, Flo on keys, Christoph on bass, and Cpt. Peters and me on drums and guitar, respectively.
We did a couple of takes; each had its own vibe, but in the end, we chose this one.
What a wonderful song…..
