Описание: A short meditation inspired by work on Arvo Pärt's "Spiegel im Spiegel", a hauntingly beautiful work for Cello and Piano, which the Cellist Sarah Acres and I will be performing in St. George's Cathedral, on of the historic landmarks of Cape Town.

St George's Cathedral's 2013 Concert Series continues on Wednesday 27 February with an intimate, candlelit concert in the Chancel featuring Sarah Acres on cello and Albert Combrink on a new Kawai piano sponsored by Ian Burgess-Simpson Pianos. This beautifully crafted, meditative programme in Lent features popular works by Arvo Pärt, Schubert, J.S. Bach, Rachmaninov and Ravel to name a few. Tickets are R90 at the door, and, as usual, the Taj Hotel will be serving wine at Interval. The doors open at seven o'clock with the concert starting at seven thirty -- Come early to get a good seat! The Glasses are tuned to the F Major Triad which forms the basis of this work.
