5 Critical Step to Design Process Models

Описание: The whole point of any process modelling exercise is not to just define the current state of a workflow but to identify the various gaps and improvement opportunities that should be explored. As a process engineer, my role is to tease out those gaps, prioritize in order of importance (impact vs. effort) and facilitate innovation that can improve and transform a future state process. But 1st, we need to understand the current state to design the AsIs process.

Today, I'm going to review my process modelling methodology and break down the AsIs current state process into 5 easy steps.

I'm a big beliver of BLUF bottom line up front so here are my steps that I plan to review and feel free to jump to the timelines as listed in the description

1. List the major workflow headers
2. Breakdown critical process steps
3. Identify Value Added Steps
4. Focus / classify gaps, improvement opportunities or solutions in place
5. Assign those gaps to the particular process steps
