Alright, I'm taking no blame for the ending on this one, this one's squarely on you Joel.

This run was...almost too smooth until then. I was expecting the more open desert environment to make things a little harder for stealth, but the lowered visibility in the sandstorm and nighttime helped a lot. Was missing a stratagem, but had a free Jetpack as part of the op, and boy was it a gamechanger, letting me sneak right over base walls without alerting the garrison. Finished every objective and outpost with barely any engagements and plenty of time to spare, so of course the game had to throw a spanner in the works...

Build:

Pretty much the same setup as my last Automaton stealth run, using the AMR as our all-purpose support weapon, capable of taking out Trooper patrols, Walkers, Devastator 1-shots, and Hulk 2-shots, with the Diligence and Senator also capable of 1-shotting troopers.

For stratagems, I had the ever reliable Eagle Airstrike for taking out grouped objectives, and the Orbital Laser for clearing entire bases - not only will it kill enemies, it will go after fabricators and objectives like the dropships too.

The Jetpack was the real difference, opening up all new stealth opportunities by bypassing the guarded entrances of bot outposts. Mine came free with the Operation, but I'll be taking it on more bot stealth runs from now on, it's amazing.

Switched things up with the armour, using the Combat Tech medium armour with the reduced enemy detection range and improved radar that's crucial for stealth runs, with the Radar Booster as well. While you do feel the missing speed and stamina vs the Trailblazer Scout, the extra armour can prove useful for some extra survivability. And yes I took it because the colours match the desert a little better.
