Juvenile foxes playing with cubs

Описание: It fills my heart with joy to see juvenile foxes Holly and Hazel babysit their younger siblings. They are trying to keep the cubs near the den to keep them safe but are also enjoying playing with the tiny cubs! Three generations of foxes now live at the cemetery. Had I not been able to treat Hazel last year for mange and his sister Holly for lung worm, both would not be here right now. Even though a foxes could theoretically live 15 years, the average lifespan of an urban fox is only 18 months. When Hazel and Holly got ill they were both only 10 months old. But at 14 months old, they are thriving right now and live to tell another fox tale. To play a small part in preserving this fox dynasty at the cemetery is one of my biggest achievements.
I am dedicating this post to those kind fox lovers that are supporting my work with their donations - the current fundraiser for the cemetery foxes has so far raised 45% of the target. The camera traps have been financed any other donations that come in will buy fox food and mange meds. Together we can rally around foxes and enable them to live their best lives - wild, free, healthy and happy.
