Did you know that Pennsylvania Station and Moynihan is one of the same? There is an underground tunnel to interconnect these two buildings below the Eighth Avenue to serve Madison Square Garden (which is on top of the Penn Station) due to this one elevator by entrance of 31st Street between Seventh and Eighth Avenue.
While most people have to go across at the street level there is an option to take the underground tunnel to avoid weather challenges (rain, heat, cold). In this video I show probably the most obvious one which is at the corner of 33rd Street between Seventh and Eighth Avenue. Elevator is there specially for elderly, disabled, on wheelchair, and of course people with luggage.
Each track platform has its dedicated elevator, both on Penn and Moynihan side with time tables, ticket vending machines, and customer service. Feel free to ask the steward and stewardess should you have questions specially due to cancellation, track change, and delays.
This video starts from Little Seoul between Fifth and Sixth Avenue on 32nd Street, navigating through traffic with fire engine trying to pass. The Path station to downtown Fulton Street area and then to Jersey City all the way to Newark is right around the corner of the 32nd and Sixth, in which may be useful as alternatives to NY subway and NJ Transit train.
