Uganda is set for a mineral wealth boom as a gold mine opens at Wagagai in the Eastern part of the country, dormant mines revived and a processing facility for rare earth Minerals installed.
Mines to be revived include Copper and salt mines in Kasese among others.
This was disclosed during a media briefing by Uganda Chamber of Mines and Petroleum, the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Development plus the private sector about a forthcoming 2-day Mineral Wealth Conference set for Kampala next week.
