This Pizza Hut style pan pizza cuts more than half the calories of a normal 9 inch pizza hut pan pizza. a big part of this starts with a healthy pizza dough recipe that I have come up with to help lower calories! I use a high hydration pizza dough to help with this and to lower the amount of flour and also help with a chew crispy crust! I eat this low calorie pizza a few times a week and it helps me curb those pizza hut cravings!

Recipe
Pan Pizza Dough
500g flour
350g water 115f
10 g salt
10g honey
4g yeast
Add the yeast and honey to the water and let it activate.
in a big mixing bowl add the flour and salt and mix to combine.
Add in the yeast water and mix until it combines and hydrates the flour. We are not looking to knead here just enough to combine.
Cover and let rest for half an hour.
Once rested wet your hands to help keep the dough from sticking to your fingers, lift up the dough on one side as far as it will go without tearing and fold it onto its self. Turn the bowl 90 degrees and repeat 3 more times. Cover and gain and let rest for 30 more mins. Do this stretch and turn 2 more times for a total of 3 times.
After the last time, it is ready to use but I like to let it rest in the fridge for 24 hours to develop some flavour. When you are ready to use your dough weight it out into 170g balls. Place the balls in a sheet pan and cover for 1 hour or place in the fridge until ready to use.
To Cook the Pan Pizza
Use whatever toppings you like!
I used
25grams turkey pepperoni
60 grams low moisture mozzarella
a hand full of peppers, onions, and mushrooms.
7 grams of bacon bits

Preheat oven to 450F
Spray a nonstick, cast iron, or carbon steel pan with non-stick spray
place your dough ball in the middle and press it out until it covers the bottom of the pan.
top with your ingredients and place on a med burner for 4 mins until it sizzles and steam is releasing. (this is to give your crust a head start so it can crisp up in the oven)
Place in the middle rack and cook for 10 mins or until golden brown
remove and place on a wire rack for 4-5 mins to let it rest
