First Impressions Of LAOS | Friendly Locals In PAKSE Market 🇱🇦

Our visa ran out so we crossed the border from Thailand to Pakse in southern Laos! This video is pretty much our first impressions here in Pakse Laos!

To kick the day off we walked down to the Pakse riverfront to get a feel for the city and it was super beautiful, Straight away I get the feeling like we're going to love this country it is so chilled out!

Like any city or country the first thing we did was head to the local market! On the way we came across a tiny live animal market before we hit the huge fresh/wet market here in Pakse.

We were starving so first things first got a laos style baguette for 10k kip which was delicious and just what we needed, we then wandered around and everybody here was so friendly we were loving it.

We met some lovely locals who we bought a coconut from and had some fun with for a while, they also sold huge pungent pots of fermented fish sauce!

Lunch time came and we were hungry again so for 20k kip bought a huge bowl of laos style beef pho noodles which were just fantastic.

On the way home we stopped at a local coffee shop that is a meeting space for local Lao children to learn English with each other, for 18k kip we had some really good americanos with local paksong coffee beans.

We grabbed some khanom krok on steroids aswell for 10k kip that were full of pork and beansprouts I believe! Really tasty oily snack!

To end the day we headed off down the Pakse backstreets to the river and walked through the local area meeting more good lao people. I give my overall first impressions of Laos - I can tell we will love it here it's so raw and unfiltered.

Oh I can't forget we got some cheap local grilled meat for tea and tried a crazy giant waterbug pounded dip which went perfectly with sticky rice!

Laos is mental 🇱🇦
