Today I made a big batch of fresh homemade chimichurri using our homegrown flat parsley.
We harvested a full basket from the garden and turned it into this vibrant, flavour-packed sauce — perfect for venison steak, beef, lamb, grilled chicken, or anything from the BBQ.
Instead of olive oil, I use sunflower oil for a lighter and cleaner taste.
This chimichurri is bright, zesty, and incredibly easy to make.
Ingredients I used:
– Flat parsley (finely chopped)
– Shallots
– Garlic
– Red chilli (seeds removed)
– Black pepper & salt
– Red wine vinegar
– Lemon juice
– Soaked dried oregano & chilli flakes
– Sunflower oil
Let the sauce rest in the fridge for a few hours or overnight — the flavour becomes amazing.
Tonight we enjoyed it with venison steak, and the combination was absolutely delicious!
