Описание: Lake Havasu City Arizona is a wonderful escape from the cold winters of the northern states and Canada. It is a lovely city right on the shores of Lake Havasu. London Bridge is a landmark of Lake Havasu City, and it is the most-visited built attraction in the state of Arizona. London Bridge connects Lake Havasu City to The Island. The Island was created when a channel was dredged underneath London Bridge. That channel is now known at the Bridgewater Channel.

If you are in Lake Havasu City at the end of January, you might be able to see the RC boat races. This annual event held in the Bridgewater Channel is one of the largest remote control boat races in the country. The RC boats can reach speeds of 60 to 90 mph. The is a free event and is open to the public. This was our first time watching RC Boat Racing and it was incredibly fun. Dates of the RC Boat race in 2025 are January 24th through January 26th.

Castle Rock Bay is a quiet little cove, north of Lake Havasu City. It is part of the Havasu National Wildlife Refuge and a beautiful spot for non-motorized watercraft. It is a nice spot for bird watching and there is also a small beach area.

If you love state parks, there are three right in the Lake Havasu City area. Lake Havasu State Park is right on the scenic shores of Lake Havasu. It is a beautiful state park right in Lake Havasu City Arizona near London Bridge. Lake Havasu State Park was established in 1965 and is open year-round. The park receives about 500,000 visitors annually.

Cattail Cove State Park is just sixteen miles south of Lake Havasu City right on the shore of beautiful Lake Havasu in Arizona. Established in 1970, Cattail Cove State Park has a nice campground with sixty-one sites and numerous boat-in sites. The park has a boat ramp, swimming beach, picnic area, hiking trails and opportunities for boating, fishing, or jet skiing.

Buckskin Mountain State Park in Arizona sits on a beautiful bend of the Colorado River, on Arizona’s western border. Buckskin Mountain State Park is eleven miles northeast of Parker Arizona and twenty-seven miles southwest of Lake Havasu City Arizona. The park was established in 1967.

Lake Havasu is a large reservoir formed by the Parker Dam on the Colorado River. Lake Havasu straddles the border between Arizona and California with four hundred miles of stunning shoreline. Along the shores of Lake Havasu, there are twenty-eight fully functioning lighthouse replicas. The replicas were built to the specifications of the originals from the east coast, west coast, and Great Lakes.
