This is an easy Prawn chilli fry recipe which is so yummy
It goes very well with dal and Bombay pav or roti
Ingredients
500 gms prawns pealed and washed
1and 1/2 tea spoon salt
1 tea spoon turmeric powder
2 table spoons lemon juice
3 medium onions sliced
2 medium potatoes cubed
1 inch piece ginger finely chopped
4 cloves garlic finely chopped
5 to 6 green chillies slit
1/2 tea spoon pepper powder
1 tea spoon cumin powder
4 table spoons chopped coriander leaves
Method
Wash and devein 500 gms Prawns and add 1 tea spoon salt , 1/2 tea spoon turmeric powder, 2 table spoons lemon juice and mix well and keep aside
Take a pan on medium high heat and add 5 table spoons oil
Add 3 medium onions sliced and fry for 2 minutes
Add 1 inch piece ginger finely chopped, 4 cloves garlic finely chopped,
5 to 6 green chillies slit and fry everything for 5 minutes
Add 1/2 tea spoon turmeric powder, 1/2 tea spoon salt, 1/2 tea spoon pepper powder,1 tea spoon cumin powder and fry everything for 2 minutes
Add 2 medium potatoes cubed and 2 table spoons coriander and stir everything and cook for a minute
Add 1/2 cup water and stir everything, cover and cook for 8 minutes on medium low
Open and add the marinated prawns kept aside
Stir everything and cover and cook with the prawns for 7 minutes on medium low
Open and gently stir everything and garnish with fresh chopped coriander leaves
Remove from heat
