Not that it matters much, but if you're keeping score, I say "17 days" at the beginning. I recorded this a few days ago, so it's 21 now. The three week update is coming on Friday.
As you may know, I have been changing. Here are three things I have discovered about myself since I stopped doomscrolling.
The Brain Heal Project is what I started calling this endeavor, trying to fix cognition issues caused by my phone use. It's evolving way past my wanting to improve cognitive function. It's sent me down a path of self-discovery, spirituality, understanding.
The self-imposed rules I've been following:
1. No watching shorts/reels
2. No watching videos under 5 mins long
3. No phone in bed at night (but tablet okay, for reading or watching longer videos)
4. No scrolling in general
The healthy habits I'm in the process of adding:
1. Journaling
2. Music
3. Meditation
4. Yoga
The book I'm reading:
