Ayer Itam-Tun Dr Lim Chong Eu Expressway Bypass is a 5.7km road planned to connect Ayer Itam with the Tun Dr Lim Chong Eu Expressway. It is also known as the George Town Outer Bypass. The road is Package 2 of the Penang Transport Master Plan. 70% of the road is elevated. Targeted to be ready by mid 2026, max speed is 90km/h over the stretch of 6km = ~4mins to reach PWCC from Farlim. Next jam will be area of PWCC.
