Welcome!
This trauma informed yoga class supports chronic pain and stress with gentle poses, stretches, and slow transitions. We also explore poses to tend to your nervous system so you receive a gentle stretch and feel more calm and relaxed, leading to less tension in your body and more softness in your mind.
While yoga is a supportive avenue for tending to chronic pain symptoms, I welcome you to speak with your medical care team to provide you with the best course of treatment. You deserve the best care possible for your symptoms.
This is also a trauma informed practice, which means everything I offer is optional. I welcome you to move at your own pace and explore the poses in a way that feels right for your nervous system, body, and energy levels.
I welcome you to include an optional YOGA BOLSTER for this class, but you can also use a thick pillow or couch cushions. This is also supportive for ALL EXPERIENCE LEVELS. There are no standing postures in this class.
