“A is the best, or A is the best method/way” Used to express a subjective judgment of the speaker, not to state an objective fact.
Often used with "やっぱり".　～が一番いい・～が一番いい方法だ


暑い日は、やっぱりビールに限る。
暑い日は、やっぱりビールが一番いい。
On hot days, beer is the best.


寒い日に温まるには、やっぱり鍋に限る。
寒い日に温まるには、やっぱり鍋が一番いい方法だ。
To warm up on a cold day, hot pot is the best way.


～に限る

This used when you want to make it clear that the content (such as benefit, advantage, etc.) is limited to something. Not often used when something bad applies only to something.
Same as ～だけ、～に限定する

～に限って

① "A(= case/time) ～に限って B "

It is used to say "B" only happens in the case of "A", but not in other cases. It is often used especially when the speaker considers that one is out of luck.
ちょうど〜時（とき）に、悪（わる）いことが起（お）こる


試験の日に限って二度寝をして、遅刻してしまった。
Only on the day of the exam, I slept twice and ended up being late.


急いでいる時に限って、渋滞している。
Only when I’m in a hurry, there are traffic jams.


傘を持っていない時に限って雨が降る。
It rains only when I don't have an umbrella.


② "A(= case/time) ～に限って B "

it is used to say that people "A" are "B" while others are not. It is especially used when the speaker has a negative view of the matter, wants to criticize it, or wants to say "on the contrary" or "surprisingly".


仕事ができない人に限って、会社の文句を言うものだ。
Only those who are not up to their job complain about the company.


自分は騙だまされないという人に限って、意外と簡単な詐欺にあうものです。
Only those who say they are foolproof fall for surprisingly simple scams.


③ "A(= case/time) ～に限って B （ない）"
it is used when the speaker strongly believes that "A" is never “B”.


彼女に限って、そんな間違いはしないと思う。
I don't think she will make such a mistake.


私の彼氏に限って、浮気するなんてありえないと思う。
I think there's no way that my boyfriend would ever cheat on me.


あのメーカーの製品に限ってこんなに早く壊れることはないと思っていた。
I thought that only the products of that manufacturer would not break so quickly.
