4K hike to Lingcove Bridge and Hard Knott Fort in the STUNNING valley of Eskdale / LAKE DISTRICT

6 Mile hike starting from Jubilee Bridge in Eskdale (parking for 10 cars, optional parking on grass verge 100m down the road) visiting a number of blue pools along the River Esk heading to Lingcove Bridge. This is a stunning picnic location as the old stone arched packhorse Bridge is nestled amongst the big mountains as a back drop. There are options for Gill diving at Tongue Pot ( care required) and it is possible to do this with a professional group event. If you don't fancy this then it's possible to take a leisurely swim in the many blue pools along the way. Our route then heads onto Hard Knott 549M and a wainright. Stunning views of Scafell Pike and Bowfell, Crinkle Crags and Scafell. We then head down to Hard Knott Pass and visit the roman fort, nestled on a shelf with stunning views.
This walk is relatively easy with care required in poor visibility due to steep ground on the valley side.
