Описание: Storm Child is a cinematic short film about Elena, a solo kayaker in the Alaskan wilderness who discovers an injured bald eagle chick stranded on storm debris in the middle of a cold river. What begins as a single decision to wade into forty-degree water becomes nearly a year of wildlife rehabilitation, sacrifice, and one of the most unlikely bonds ever formed between a human and a wild raptor.
Inspired by the real work of wildlife rehabilitators across the United States, Storm Child follows Elena and Storm through the rescue, the clinic, the long months of healing, the first flight, and the final release at the same river bend where everything began.
This film is dedicated to every wildlife rehabilitator who got in the water.
In the United States, over 500 bald eagles are rescued and rehabilitated each year. Most fly again.
