Today we'll be showing you how to make easy homemade fermented sweet rice with minimal ingredients! This mildly sweet fermented rice dish can be find throughout all of Asia and is mainly known for its health benefits.
ingredients:
3 cups of sweet sticky rice,
1 1/2 balls of dried yeast balls,
1 cup of water mixed with 1/2 a teaspoon of salt to roll the rice into balls
steps:
1. cook the sweet sticky rice then let it cool down by flattening it onto any flat pan,
2. grind up the dried yeast balls then sprinkle it on top of the cooled down rice,
3. with the water and salt mixture dampen your fingers and roll the rice into balls and put it into any container,
4. leave the container at a room warm temperature for 3 to 4 days and it's ready to eat!
5. if you leave if for longer than 5 days it will turn into rice wine!
