🔧 Project Overview: In this video, I demonstrate how to update the MK60EC1 ABS Module on my 2011 VW Golf 6 GTI (NAR/North American Spec). I upgraded the firmware from version
1K0 907 379 BG to the newer 1K0 907 379 BL (SW: 0152) to unlock hidden features and improve vehicle dynamics.
🚗 Vehicle Specs:
Car: 2011 VW Golf MK6 GTI DSG (CCTA 200HP - NAR)
Old Module: 1K0 907 379 BG (HW: H31 / SW: 0106)
New Firmware: 1K0 907 379 BL (SW: 0152)
Tool Used: VCP (Vag Can Pro) for flashing & coding.
✅ Features Enabled with BL Update:
Full ESP OFF: The ability to completely disable stability control (Byte 6, Bit 7) – Essential for track days!
XDS (Electronic Differential Lock): Enhanced calibration for better cornering grip.
MCB (Multi-Collision Brake): Automatic braking after a collision to prevent further impacts.
CBC (Cornering Brake Control): Improved stability during braking in corners.
HHC (Hill Hold Control): Retained and optimized.
iTPMS (NIRA Dynamics): Upgraded to NIRA TPI algorithm for precise pressure monitoring.
⚠️ Post-Flash Required Adaptations (Basic Settings): After flashing and coding, your dashboard will light up with errors. You MUST perform these basic settings to clear them:
Sensor Calibrations (In VCDS/VCP):
G85 (Steering Angle Sensor) – Critical
G200 (Lateral Acceleration Sensor)
G202 (Yaw Rate Sensor)
G201 (Brake Pressure Sensor)
Steering Limit Stops: Start engine, turn steering wheel Full Left (hold 3s) ➡️ Full Right (hold 3s) ➡️ Center. Drive slowly (20km/h) in a straight line to extinguish the yellow steering light.
TPMS Reset: Reset the Tire Pressure Monitoring System via the button or instrument cluster menu.
