RNS 510+BT to MIB2 Radio / Retrofitting Golf 6 GTI / OEM Mic, External Amp, CarPlay USB Install

In this video, I upgrade my Golf 6 GTI from the factory RNS 510 (+Bluetooth module) to the MIB2 PQ infotainment system. I show the complete wiring modification and a custom installation for the CarPlay USB port in the armrest.

Modifications & Steps:

Factory Bluetooth Removal: Removed the original module from under the seat.

OEM Microphone Retention: Bridged specific pins on the Bluetooth connector to use the car's original microphone with the MIB2. Swapped 2 pins behind the radio unit for mic functionality.

RVC Wiring: Pinned and connected the Rear View Camera cable.

Speaker Wiring: Removed the intermediate adapter cables and connected the car's original speaker block directly to the Quadlock adapter for a cleaner signal.

Armrest Modification: Removed the factory MDI / iPod unit to gain space.
CarPlay USB Install: Installed a generic 1-DIN storage pocket and custom-mounted the CarPlay USB port inside it.
