WLToys 104001 | Complete Diff & Shock Service (Must-Do Maintenance)

Settle In, we got a marathon video here!

We're taking a look at some of the critical maintenance tasks one should perform when looking to get the best out of their WLToys 104001. This is likely applicable to all WLToys models.

First, we're going to disassemble the diffs and pack the case with Lucas Marine grease and a few dabs of 3-in-1 Silicone oil. Note, you could also use diff oil as these diff cases are sealed with a gasket.

Next we're going to tear down the shocks and isolate a leaking issue and refill/tune the fluid level.

Third, we're going to discuss the importance of checking each screw to make sure they're snug. Many of mine were not, especially on the bottom of the chassis.

Lastly, as an honorable mention - we're going to discuss the suspension geometry. Specifically rear camber and front toe out.
